SC ruling says that when EC announces that a member has been removed from a party, then the member will lose the parliament seat : Abdul Raheem

Deputy President of PPM Abdullah Abduh Raheem have said that the Supreme Court ruling says that when Elections Commission announces that a member has been removed from a party then the member will lose the parliament seat. He said that PPM will always support the verdict of Supreme Court.

Speaking to the press after council meeting held by PPM last night, Abdul Raheem said that they have expelled some members from the party and informed Elections Commission about and Elections Commission will know what to do with them.

Abdul Raheem said that they did not discuss about removing parliament members and the meeting was mainly about the governance of the party. He said that they also discussed about opening party offices in the islands and starting visits to islands.
