We believe members who were expelled from the party after the SC ruling will lose their seats : Nihaan

PPM PG Leader Ahmed Nihaan have said that he believes that parliament members who were expelled from the party after the Supreme Court ruling will lose their seats. Speaking to the press after a council meeting held by PPM last night, Nihan said that the secretariat of the parliament will announce the decisions made by the Elections Commission during the next session of the parliament.

He said that if any problem arises as a result then the session will have to be halted until it is solved. In addition he said that if the parliament members are unhappy about anything then they can take it to the Supreme Court.

Nihaan said that the parliament should have passed an anti-defection legislation long ago and he hopes that the government will propose such a bill soon. He said that once the bill is proposed, then the members can discuss their grievances regarding the Supreme Court ruling as well.
