Elections Commission of the Maldives has confirmed that four parliament members have lost their seats.
A statement by EC states that MP for Thulusdhoo Mohammed Waheed, MP for Villingili Saud Hussein, MP for Maduvvari Mohammed Ameeth and MP for Dhihdhoo Abdul Latheef have lost their parliament seat because they were removed from their party.
In addition the statement said that, based on the Supreme Court verdict and based on the parliament legislation they have decided to hold bi-elections in these four constituencies.
