Opposition submits a no confidence motion against the Attorney General
Opposition members have submitted a no confidence motion against the Attorney General to the parliament. The motion was submitted with signatures of 24 parliament members.

This motion was submitted during a time when Supreme Court has issued a ruling stating that parliament members who cross floor will lose their seat in the parliament. In addition, the no confidence motion submitted against the speaker of the parliament has been declared void today.

The reasons for voiding the motion is because 4 members who signed the motion have lost their seats and hence the motion now does not have required number of signatures. A no confidence motion against the speaker of the parliament can be submitted with signatures from 42 members.
