First Lady Fathimath Ibrahim has met with the people that are going to Hajj with the assistance of Sadhaqat foundation. She met with them yesterday at Muliyaage. The foundation is run by the first lady.
An official of the Sadhaqat foundation said that people who are not able to afford to go to Hajj on their own are given the chance to go to Hajj by the foundation.
They will be sent to Hajj via the Hajj corporation. The quota for this will be allocated from the quota given to the government of Maldives and through a special quota.
Since President Yameen assumed office Maldives gets 1000 additional Hajj quota. Even last year Sadhaqat foundation sent 50 people to Hajj.
Sadhaqat foundation to send 50 people to Hajj this year as well !
