Maldives Police Service has barricaded Kunooz area and obstructed parliament members from going to Kunooz.
The parliament members are saying that the police are holding them unlawfully. They said that they have not done anything unlawful and walking to the parliament is not something that can be stopped under any law.
Opposition parliament members are planning to enter the parliament today. MP for Meedhoo constituency Rozaina said that the parliament cannot be locked and they cannot be prevented from entering the parliament.
Abdullah Shahid said that the parliament is not the parliament house but parliament members are what makes a parliament a parliament. He said that hence the MPs should not be prevented from entering the parliament.
