Maldives Police Service has requested not to work in ways which will create hatred towards the police among the public.
A statement by the police says that some people are publishing photos of police officers and their families on social media. In addition it stated that some people are threatening the police and spreading messaged that will create hatred towards the police. Police requested everyone to refrain from such acts.
Furthermore it stated that some people are spreading lies about the police and said that they will take legal action against those who commit such crimes.
