Autism Center which was built in Hulhumale’ with financial assistance from Saudi Arabia has been opened.
The Autism Center is managed by Autism Association of Maldives. The center was officially opened by Saudi Ambassador to Maldives Badr Al-Kohail. The opening ceremony was attended by senior officials of Saudi Embassy, former President Dr.Waheed and his spouse, chairperson of Maldives Autism Association Ilham Hussein and State Minister for Health Dunya Maumoon.
The center has a capacity of 300 students and has various facilities. The center will educate autistic students and provide therapy as well. Previously these services were provided by Autism Association, however then these services will be provided by the Autism Center.
