According to unconfirmed reports, the President is planning to appoint prominent lawyer and legal affairs minister of the President’s Office Azima Shukoor to the Supreme Court. No official authority has confirmed this news and no institution have denied this either.
Most of the time they will answer such issues in the last minute. Miadhu News tried to ask opinion of religious scholars in this matter. All the scholars said that it will not be permissible for a woman to be a judge in the highest court.
Some of the scholars who answered this question include the most prominent scholars in this country. In addition some scholars said that they will not comment on a rumor but will say what is right when the time comes.
