Abdullah Riyaz have said that he did not bypass police lines when he tried to enter the parliament on 24th of this month.
Abdullah Riyaz the MP for Kinbidhoo said that he gave a statement to police denying the charges. Speaking to the press after giving a statement to the police, Riyaz said that he did not do anything unlawful during his attempt to enter the parliament. He said that he did not even touch a police officer.
Riyaz said that he left Kunooz area when police gave permission to leave for the parliament. In addition Riyaz said that parliament members are being detained unlawfully and called to free them immediately.
Riyaz said that no matter how much he is summoned to the police or jailed, he will not stop the work his is doing for the betterment of the nation. He said that the corrupt activities of the government can be investigated through the parliament only and he will not stop this work.
