Jumhooree Party (JP) Leader Qasim Ibrahim has met with Indian Ambassador to Maldives Akhilesh Mishra.
The meeting was held this afternoon and lasted for two hours. They met at JP office M.Kunooz. However details of the meeting has not been revealed.
India continues to assist SAARC countries to solve various problems they face. India plays the role of a parent among SAARC countries. Recently India expressed concerns about the situation in Maldives. India stated that they want Maldives to uphold laws and that Maldives to be stable and peaceful.
India is a close ally of the Maldives and Maldivian government says that India assists Maldives first when needed. However recently there has been disputes regarding some of the things that has been happening in Maldives.
