Opposition parties have requested to meet Prosecutor General Aishath Bisham and Chief Justice Abdullah Saeed.
A letter sent to the duo by the opposition states that the opposition are working to solve the political problems in Maldives and hence they want to meet them to discuss on how to solve these problems through the judiciary.
In addition, they requested the PG and the Chief Justice for an appointment to discuss about what can be done to protect the fundamental rights and freedoms. They have stated that opposition will be represented by PG leader of MDP, Ibrahim Mohammed Solid, Deputy Leader of JP Abdullah Riyaz, Deputy Leader of Adhalath Party Ali Zahir and Yumna Maumoon on behalf of former President Maumoon.
