ADK Hospital has offered scholarships to 4 doctors to study up to post graduate level.
The scholarships were awarded during a ceremony held at the hospital today. Speaking at the ceremony the MD of ADK Hospital Ahmed Afaal said that they offered scholarships last year even.
Afaal said that one of the four doctors who got the scholarship this year is already studying and the rest will leave on 1st August. He said that while ADK celebrates their 30th anniversary they have given 30 health related scholarships.
“While the health sector of Maldives is developing we always focus on creating specialists and super specialists. You will always hear that we introduce new services. People hear about us developing people not so often. But we are doing that as well” said Afaal.
Afaal noted that even now there are many students studying under scholarships given by ADK Hospital. He said that once ADK starts their own courses more opportunities will be given. He said that next month the first course by ADK Medical Institute will commence.
