President Maumoon has called the government to treat everyone impartially. Speaking at a gathering held at Kunooz last night Maumoon said that the government is not impartial in investigating criminal cases.
He said that the parliament member who admitted to distributing bags of cash has still not been investigated. He said that since he admitted on his own there should not be any investigation and the next step is issuing a verdict.
“However, the member who said that he did not do anything like this is jailed” said Maumoon.
He said that there is no guardian of the state now and that position existed only when there was no constitution. He said that since now the state is ruled based on the constitution the guardian of the state is the constitution. Maumoon said that the state should be governed based on the constitution and in a just manner.
