MP Saud of Villingili constituency and former policy executive of Education Ministry Ibrahim Haneef has been charged with terrorism for threatening a judge.
They have been charged with terrorism from threatening High Court Judge Shujaau Usmaan. Previously police arrested Haneef and detained him for more than a month regarding this case. Saud and Haneef are being charged under the new terrorism act and they are being charged for conspiring to carry out an act of terror.
In addition, Saud is still detained by the police for trying to enter the parliament building without permission because EC has declared his seat vacant.
Saud was arrested last Friday and the Criminal Court remanded him for 15 days.
