Anti-Corruption Commission have taken a statement from former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom regarding the audit reports of Theemuge.
The statement was taken sometime today. ACC took this statement after visiting Maumoon at his residence while Maumoon previously said that he is ready to go to ACC and give the statement.
According to the letter sent to Maumoon by ACC, their internal regulation states that they should obtain statements from former presidents by going to their place of work or residence.
