MP Abdullah Shahid have said that the solution for the current political unrest in Maldives is dialogue between the opposition and the government. He said that there will be no solution otherwise.
Speaking to the press after he was summoned to the police regarding his actions on 24th of July, Shahid said that there will be no solution without dialogue and acting with force.
Shaahid said that he will enter the parliament and he has done that for the past 23 years. He said that he cannot be stopped. Shaahid said that today the government is trying to criminalize entering an institution which they are permitted to enter. “This is my fifth term as a parliament member. In the past 23 years nothing like this have happened. This is unacceptable” said Shaahid.
