President Yameen have said that a top government official met with Hussein Humaam at a resort after taking him out of prison. Hussein Humaam was convicted of killing Dr.Afrasheem Ali.
Speaking at a ceremony held to welcome newly joined members to PPM, the president said that the police took a statement from a guard who witnessed the meeting. He said that police are no working on to take a statement from a second guard. He said that the two guards were also at the resort with Humaam.
President said that the investigation started based on some information he received. He said that he does not believe that there should be anything anyone should discuss with an inmate who was convicted of such a crime. He said that important information regarding Dr.Afrasheem’s murder can be obtained from this investigation.
President Yameen said that the reason for this meeting should be found out. He said that once the investigation is over, then it will be revealed who had the most interest in killing Dr.Afrasheem.
