Opposition parliament members have been trying to meet the Prosecutor General Bisham and Chief Justice Abdullah Saeed. Some members visited the Supreme Court today.
Speaking to the press after visiting the Supreme Court, MP Ibrahim Mohammed Solih of Hinnvaru constituency said that they tried to meet the Chief Justice because the parliament has declared four parliament seats vacant.
Ibu said that, at the moment it is the Supreme Court which can make a decision regarding this issue and he sees that it is very important to make a decision as soon as possible.
The members were not able to meet the Chief Justice today. However they are hoping to meet the Chief Justice very soon.
The opposition members are saying that the parliament declare the 4 seats as vacant unlawfully and that it is the Supreme Court which has the authority to make such a decision.
