President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has conveyed greetings, in separate messages, to President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on the occasion of the 70th Independence Day of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
The President’s message to President Mamnoon Hussain reads as follows:
“It gives me great pleasure to convey warm greetings and sincere good wishes of the Government and the people of the Maldives, and those of my own, to Your Excellency, the Government and the brotherly people of Pakistan on the joyous occasion of the Independence Day of Pakistan. May I also express my hope for further consolidation of the warm and fraternal relations that exist between our two countries.”
“Please also accept, Excellency, my personal good wishes for your good health and happiness, and for further progress and prosperity of the people of Pakistan.”
