Salary of civil servants to be increased .

President Yameen Abdul Gayyoom have stated that, the government is trying to increase the salary of civil servants for next year.

Speaking at an event held last night, the President said that previous administrations withheld salaries of civil servants but now the government gives the salary on 1st of each month.

“Pay Commission is working on to change the salaries. The Finance Minister is leading this work. Now they are restricting the salaries of companies. After that, they will move on to civil servants” said the President.
President Yameen said that next year’s budget will be proposed in a way that the salary of civil servant’s will be increased.
