MWSC introduces an on-spot billing system

Maldives Water and Sewerage Company, MWSC has introduced an on-sport billing system. The system was officially launched by Environment Minister Thoriq Ibrahim during the ceremony held last night to celebrate the 22ndanniversary of MWSC . Using this system, the bill can be issued immediately after the meter reading is taken.

In addition, during last night’s ceremony, MWSC’s self-service kiosk and their mobile application was launched as well. These services were launched by the MD of MWSC Ibrahim Fazul. Moreover, staffs of MWSC were given awards last night from various categories such as staff achievement award, staff long service award, most promising employee, and chairman’s excellence award.

Speaking at last night’s ceremony the chief guest, Environment Minister Thoriq Ibrahim noted the achievements of MWSC in the past 22 years. He highlighted the water systems development projects that are being conducted in 50 different islands of Maldives.

The minister also noted, that MWSC won 9 international projects in the past two years. According to MWSC, with the newly introduced system, the bill will be issued to the customers immediately after the meter reading is taken.
