Today we have seen that even the smallest island has lost hope in the government: Sameer

Secretary General of JP, Ahmed Sameer have said that the results of B.Kamadhoo bi-election shows that even the smallest island in the Maldives has lost hope in the government.

Sameer said that the government candidate losing the election by a huge margin shows that the islanders does not fear the government. Sameer said that the majority of the Maldivian population does not trust the government and the people are showing that in every election that is being held.

In Kamadhoo election MDP candidate won 170 votes, which is 54.49 percent of the votes. PPM candidate won 142 votes which is 45.51 percent of the vote. MDP candidate got 8.9 percent more than the PPM candidate.

PPM said that Kamadhoo has always been an MDP island and they got a significant achievement from this island.
