Withdrawing my name shows that the government does not trust me: Neeza
President Yameen has withdrawn Neeza Imad’s name after submitting her name to the parliament as the next governor of MMA. Neeza Imad said that, withdrawing her name shows that the government does not trust her.

Neeza was the assistant governor of MMA and she worked at MMA for 31 years. Speaking to the press she said that, since she feels that the government does not trust her, she does not feel that she should be in such a senior position of MMA.

In addition, she said that till this day she worked in accordance with the law.

Former governor of MMA, Dr.Azeema resigned from her post because she is leaving to USA with her husband who got appointed as Maldivian Ambassador to USA and UN. The president first sent Neeza Imad’s name as the new governor. She is the sister of Masood Imad the spokesperson of Dr.Waheed’s administration and also the sister of Mahdhy Imad the chairman of Transport Authority.

President withdrew Neeza’s name and submitted Ahmed Naseer’s name to the parliament. Ahmed Naseer worked at Capital Market Development Authority and also at MMA for a long time.

Naseer was also a state minister during MDP administration. He is now working as a consultant at Finance Minister, in a project of the World Bank.
