Maldives Airports Company Ltd (MACL) in association with Maldivian, Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA) and Villa Air has arranged a Safety Week from 20th August to 24th August in Velana International Airport.
The opening Ceremony for Safety Week 2017 was held in Velana International Airport today morning. Chief Guest of the ceremony was Civil Aviation Chief Executive Mr Hussain Jaleel. Managing Director Mr.Adil Moosa, Island Aviation’s Managing Director Mr Abdulla Haris, Trans Maldivian Airways Deputy CEO Flight Operation Manager Mr. Mohamed Fahud, Villa Air’s Executives and Hulhumale Hospital Manager Hussain Faiz also graced with their presence in the ceremony.
Main Activities arranged for the safety week is as below:-
1. Safety Awareness Sessions for requested airport participants on 20th to 21st August 2017
2. Foreign Object Debris Collection on the runway side on 20th August 2017
3. Health Screening for all the staff from 20th August to 24th August 2017
4. Airport tour for University and College Students on 20th to 22nd August 2017
5. Swimming technique classes open for all throughout the week
6. Rescue techniques in Swimming classes (before the closing Ceremony)
