2017 Safety week was inaugurated by Maldives Civil Aviation Authority CEO Mr. Hussain Jaleel in the presence ofMaldives Airports Company Ltd’s Managing Director Mr.Adil Moosa, Island Aviation’s Managing Director Mr. Abdulla Haris, Trans Maldivian Airways Deputy CEO Flight Operation Manager Mr. Mohamed Fahud, Villa Air’s Executives and Hulhumale Hospital Manager Hussain Faiz. The Inauguration ceremony was attended by MACL and local airline staff.
At the ceremony MD of MACL Mr.Adil Moosa stressed the importance of a safety week and the achievements made by the safety department in the recent years such as minimizing the risks and the attainment of ISAGO certificate from IATA.
The safety week from 20th to 24th August 2017 will have a number of activities related airport safety such as conducting Safety Awareness Sessions to airport staff , the collection of Foreign Object Debris at Airside , Health Screening, Swimming &Rescue classes and also Airport Safety tour for college and university students
