Deputy Leader of JP, Dr.Hussein Rasheed have said that today Qasim Ibrahim is being rewarded for helping President Yameen to win the elections.
Dr.Hussein said that Qasim is being obstructed from attaining treatment because, Qasim Ibrahim helped President Yameen to get more than 50 percent of the votes during the election of 2013.
In addition, he said that today it can be seen that being a politician in Maldives is very dangerous. Dr.Hussein said that Qasim should be praised because even in this situation he remains defiant in the fact of the government and because he is on the side of the people.
“All these things are being done for one reason. His businesses are being obstructed also for one reason. That is to force Qasim to change sides. However, he is with us for the people and the country. He is making a huge sacrifice” said Dr.Hussein.
Dr.Hussein said that reform works should not be taken personally an such works are done for the betterment of the whole nation. He said that hence, political rivalry should not be taken as personal rivalry and no one should be oppressed because of that.
