Speaker of the parliament Abdullah Maseeh have said that the censure motion against the Attorney General can only be continued after amending the parliamentary regulations.
He said that while speaking at the last session of the 17th term of the parliament which was held today.
Maseeh said that the regulations need to be changed due to the verdict issued by the Supreme Court regarding impeachment. He said that they are doing it, but did not state when the motion will be sent to the floor of the parliament.
Opposition parties filed a censure motion against Attorney General Mohammed Anil with signatures from 30 MPs saying that the AG have undermined the state powers and undermined the priviledges of the parliament members.
