Higher education master plan for the next fiver years has been launched. The plan which was formed with the assistance of World Bank was launched by Education Minister Dr.Aishath Shiham during a ceremony held at Hotel Jen today.
This is the first plan of this kind in the Maldives. Under this plan major 5 actions will be taken.
The size and structure of higher education will be increase and governance of higher education will be improved. In addition, quality of higher education will be improved as well. Furthermore, the economic and social aspects of higher education will be improved as well. Lastly, budget and finance of higher education will be improved under this plan.
Speaking at the function, Education Minister Dr.Aishath Shiham said that the number of students attaining higher education are increasing day by day and hence those who want to go for higher studies shall be provided with that option. She said that special work will be done under this plan.
