Criminal Court has ordered Qasim Ibrahim to attend a hearing scheduled for tonight 11:00pm.
The order says that if Qasim fails to attend the hearing, they will continue the trial in absentia. Qasim’s lawyers decided not to attend the hearing and informed the court about it in writing.
Qasim is in IGMH even now, and a doctor from IGMH has issued a statement saying that Qasim should be taken abroad for further treatment. The statement was issued by Dr.Ali Shafeeg the most senior cardiologist at IGMH.
A lot of people are concerned that his trial is being hastened despite his ill health.
