Prominent lawyer Husnu Suood have said that the verdict on Qasim Ibrahim is unlawful and that verdict is like that of the Romans. Suood said that this verdict shows that the government
wants to send Qasim out of the country and even in Rome, they issued such verdicts when they want to kick someone out of the country.
MDP PG leader Ibrahim Mohammed Solih (Ibu) said that they do not accept this verdict on Qasim Ibrahim because it was politically motivated. He said that even if more opposition leaders are jailed, the opposition movement will not die and it will go forward.
