Maldives Hajj Corporation has thanked the Saudi Embassy in Maldives for their services to the corporation.
Speaking to the press, the MD of Hajj Corporation Yameen Idrees said that the 300 people who decided to go on with the newly given Hajj quota were helped by Saudi Embassy in obtaining Visa.
According to Hajj Corporation starting from the fourth of the month of Hajj, people are not allowed into Mecca, but the government of Saudi has arranged Maldivian pilgrims to enter into Mecca in addition to providing extra 1000 quota.
Abdullah Farooq said a lot of work was done by the board members of Hajj Corporation to make all the arrangements for the pilgrims who are going under the new quota. He said that they worked non-stop for two days.
