Former Home Minister, Umar Naseer have stated that the verdict on JP Leader Qasim Ibrahim shows that the institutions are independent for namesake only. He made this statement on a Facebook post.
In addition, Umar stated that the verdict shows that for heads of the institutions, pleasing the ruler is more important than justice. In addition, he said that for them, this world is more important than the hereafter and that it proves that their educational certificates are of no value.
Furthermore, Umar said that he met Qasim Ibrahim three weeks ago and that he said that a sincere leader is more important to the country than the constitution and the laws.
Umar also said the constitution which was formed with great input from Qasim Ibrahim has been tested in two administrations and it shows that three powers of the state are not separate and that there are no independent institutions.
