A lot of people have been saying that, some people are planning to kill Qasim Ibrahim.
People who spoke to Miadhu News said that they believe that the government obstructing Qasim from leaving for treatment is a sign that “they” are happy to see Qasim dead. They said that there is no other excuse for the government in this matter.
The people are saying this at a moment while the government is delaying sending Qasim abroad for treatment. Criminal Court has also ordered the government to facilitate Qasim to attain treatment.
“Corrections and Home Ministry should take responsibility for this. These are two government institutions. From how they act, we believe that the government is obstructing Qasim from attaining treatment. This is sad. They don’t have an ounce of humanity. This has never been seen in the Maldives” said a person who spoke to Miadhu.
The secretory general of JP, Ahmed Sameer said that they have completed all the procedures required of them to send Qasim abroad for treatment and that there should be no reason for the delay.
Even before, Qasim said that he is ready to go abroad with pre-conditions as well.
