Ahmed Sameer the SG of JP have said that they have completed all that is required for Qasim Ibrahim to leave abroad for treatment and right now only the Commissioner of Prison’s signature is missing.
Speaking to the media on behalf of the family, Sameer said that even today he visited corrections and inquired about the process. “ After checking the documents they said that only the CP’s signature is missing.” Said Qasim.
Sameer said that Home Ministry assured that even today all the processes might be complete. Meanwhile, the AG appealed the verdict on Qasim Ibrahim which orders the state to facilitate Qasim Ibrahim to get treatment.
Sameer said that if the state wanted, it could have been appealed even on the first day and he hopes that because of this Qasim’s departure is not delayed.
He said that the family is requesting Qasim Ibrahim to be granted permission to leave for treatement even today.
