Former MP, Mohammed Thoriq have stated that there is no other individual who worked to perfect and develop the judiciary like Qasim Ibrahim did.
Thoriq, who was also a member of the draft committee that wrote the current constitution of the Maldives, said that Qasim always prioritized on the judiciary when Qasim was heading the budget committee.
He said that Qasim always managed to pass the budget needed for the judiciary and has helped to develop the judiciary, personally as well. In addition he said that Qasim has worked to develop human resources needed for the judiciary as well. Thoriq said that there are people in senior positions of the judiciary who educated with the help of Qasim Ibrahim.
