JP leader Qasim Ibrahim’s family has expressed concerns because it has been six days since the Criminal Court verdict and he has still not been able to go abroad for treatment.
Speaking on behalf of the family, Ahmed Sameer said that the family has done everything that is required of them and right now only the signature of Commissioner of Prisons is missing. He said they are worried because Qasim is still not able to leave the country. He said that Qasim’s family and the general population of the country are worried about this.
Qasim was sentenced to jail on the 24th of this month but the court ordered the state to facilitate Qasim to attain treatment. However, there has been no progress in that regard.
