MD of STO, Ahmed Shaheer have said that STO Super Mart prioritizes in providing quality services at affordable prices. He said that they make good profits by following this principle while doing business.
Shaheer said that they have to pay a considerable amount as rent for the land STO super market is located in, but still prioritizes in providing goods at affordable rates.
“We sell goods at cheap prices not because we get a subsidy. Subsidy is given only for staple food items. We sell at an affordable rate to make profits by selling at that rate only” said Shaheer.
Shaheer said that it is the responsibility of STO to make the prices of goods generally used by the people at a stable rate. He said that STO does not want to enter goods and services business but they import items like eggs, onions, and potatoes because they are forced to do it. He also said that, it generates profit to STO.
Shaheer said that even now STO Super Mart is conducting a survey to see the needs of the customers. He said that based on the feedback given by the customers, they will bring necessary changes on how they provide services.
In addition, MD Shaheer said that they have started developing warehouses of STO in Gulhifalhu. He said that they are relocating the warehouses developed for last Ramadan to Gulhifalhu. He said that even if STO constructs a temporary store house, they develop it in a sustainable manner.
