Former Speaker of the parliament, Abdullah Shahid said that he is against the Myanmar’s health minister’s visit to Maldives.
Shahid tweeted today saying that he cannot welcome any minister of Myanmar whose government are committing genocide against Muslims.
The minister is set to visit Maldives to attend a meeting organized by WHO. However people are saying that Maldives should not welcome representatives from countries like Myanmar and Israel and it would be a slap on the face of the oppressed Muslims.
Meanwhile, the government of Maldives has ceased all trade relations with Myanmar in protest of the ongoing genocide against Muslims.
