Indian Health Secretory CK Mishra will be representing the Indian delegation in the WHO meeting which is going to be held in Maldives.
The meeting will be held from 6th to 10th of this month. The meeting will focus on issues like traffic accident morality rates, spread of non-communicable diseases and on how health sector should respond with regard to climate change.
Bollywood star Ameetab Bahchan will also take part in the meeting as an ambassador. Since this is the largest conference of this kind to be held in the Maldives, hopes are high for the meeting.
Health Minister Abdullah Nazim said that it is a huge achievement for Maldives to be the host country for such an important meeting.
