Mosques in Maldives has been instructed to recite Qunoot due to the ongoing massacre in Myanmar against Muslims.
A circular issued by Islamic Ministry said that all mosques in Maldives should recite Qunoot during Fajr prayers until they are asked to cease it. Muslims are supposed to recite during time of calamity.
Thousands of Muslims are being killed by the armed forces of Myanmar. The government of Myanmar even refused to allow aid workers to enter Myanmar. In addition, organizations like the UN are silent. Many people are fed up of the hypocrisy of the western governments.
