Sameer to be summoned to the police again
Maldives Police Service has sent a summon order to the Secretary General of JP Ahmed Sameer.

According to the summon order he is being summoned to obtain a statement because he is suspected of obstructing the police on 16th August.

On that night police arrested Sameer while he was speaking to the media in front of Kunooz. Police arrested and handcuffed him and detained him that night. The judge freed him when he was taken to the remand hearing. However he was conditioned with cooperating the police with the investigation.

Sameer said that he did not commit any crime and that he is being accused wrongly.

JP leader Qasim Ibrahim has also been sentenced to 3 years 2 months and 12 days. However he is still admitted at IGMH.

Even though the Criminal Court verdict orders The state to facilitate Qasim's health care, the state is still trying to obstruct Qasim from attaining health care.

Meanwhile the state has appealed the case against JP deputy leader Abdullah Riyaz after the Criminal Court exonerated him.
