PG Leader of PPM, Ahmed Nihan have said that this government provide flats for all those who want them and asked not to be disappointed even if they did not get any flat from the recently awarded 661 flats.
Speaking at a gathering held last night and Rumaalu2 campaign center of PPM, Nihan said that the government is conducting housing projects knowing the number of people who are in need of the flats. He said that the government will deliver the pledge of providing housing. He said that hence the government will provide housing for the 21,500 people who are in need of flats.
Nihan has also denied the rumors that are being spread regarding how the flats were awarded this time. He said that the flats were awarded justly and that the government will not leave anyone aside.
In addition, Nihan noted that the second phase of Hulhumale’ was reclaimed and various projects are being conducted at a fast pace. He said that flats are not available to purchase from shops like regular goods. Nihan said that flats require financing and hence the government is completing the procedures required to develop the flats.
Meanwhile, HDC has recently stated that they have started the work of developing 7000 housing units in Hulhumale’. They said that they have secured financing for the project as well.
