JP Leader Qasim Ibrahim’s family have stated that the heart surgery performed on Qasim Ibrahim earlier today was successful and is now admitted at ICU.
Speaking on behalf of the family, JP SG Ahmed Zameer said that the operation started at 8:00 am in the morning and lasted for an hour and thirty minutes. He said that the operation was successful with the will of Allah.
Doctors who examined Qasim in Singapore advised Qasim to perform the heart surgery as soon as possible. The doctors also advised Qasim to remain in Singapore till December 2017.
Qasim went to Singapore on 7th August 2017, few days after the court sentenced him to jail.
