Five companies have been contracted with managing waste of 8 islands. In a ceremony held at Environment Ministry today, 5 companies have been contracted with the waste management of Hdh.Nolhivaranfaru, Ha.Hoarafushi, N.Maafaru, Ga.Kanduhulhu, Ga.Dhaandhoo, V.Fulidhoo, Ga.Kolamaafushi, and Gdh.Thinadhoo.
ISF Company Private Limited was contracted with developing the waste management Center of Hdh.Nolhivaranfaru and Ga.Kanduhulhudhoo. The total cost of both these projects is 3.1 million Rufiyaa and should be completed within 90 days.
Azrova Private Limited was contracted with developing the waste management center of Ha.Hoarafushi for 953,763.27 Rufiyaa. The same company was contracted with developing the waste management center of Ga.Dhaandhoo Kolamaafushi as well.
Meanwhile New Hiyaa Maldives was contracted with developing the waste management center of N.Maafaru and V.Fulidhoo. Noomas Construction was contracted developing the waste management center of Thinadhoo and should be completed within 55 days.
Deputy Minister of Environment Ali Amir signed the contract on behalf of the ministry.
