Speaking to Miadhu News, the media officer of Corrections Ahmed Luqman said that so far they are not aware that Qasim is not planning to return to Maldives tomorrow.
“We have not decided to seek assistance of the police. But if he fails to obey the commands, then there are actions that can be taken and hence if the assistance of police is needed it will be sought. That is the normal procedure” said Luqman.
Qasim tried to return to Maldives on 25th September. However, Singapore Airlines refused to board him to the plan after a doctor issued a document stating that Qasim was not fit to travel.

The lawyers of AG office stated that they do not want to resolve the case through dialogue and hence, the trial will begin soon.
Qasim, underwent a heart surgery and he still needs to go under some more tests on 19th October according to the doctors. The doctors say that Qasim needs to be under observation until December and hence they do not recommend Qasim to leave before December.
