Flyme is celebrating its 6th year in service on 1st of October 2017.
Flyme is a domestic airline operated by Villa Air Pvt Ltd. which is part Villa Group. Under the vision and stewardship of Chairman Hon. Qasim Ibrahim, Flyme started operations on 1st of October 2011 as part of a ground breaking project to operate an airline out of the first ever privately owned airport in Maldives. This heralded a new era of tourism development for Maldives. Currently, the airline fleet consists of two ATR 72-500 and one ATR 42-500, with a seat capacity of 68 and 48 respectively. In addition, the Cessna Caravan C208 branded as the Flyme ‘SEEPLANE’ with a passenger capacity of 7, operates photo flights and private charter excursions within Maldives.
Over the course of six years our employees have proven to be an invaluable asset. Flyme considers its staff to be the backbone of the airline, and wishes to salute the tremendous sacrifices and contribution they have made and are continuing to make during challenging conditions, on behalf of Flyme.
