Fly Me, an airline operated by Villa Group has celebrated their 6th anniversary.
Today, the airline has 3 ATR planes and a Cessna Caravan flight. The airline has the capacity to provide services for 191 passengers.
According to Fly Me, the airline aims to provide quality services to the customers. The airline faced many challenges during different times, but the airline successfully overcame those challenges and is providing quality and affordable services today.
Maamigili Airport the base of Fly Me airline is an airport developed by Villa Group. Villa Group has also developed a large seaport in Maamigili, which is one of the largest in the Maldives.
Maamigili Airport was opened on 1st October 2011. Usually government provides incentives to companies which develop airports however no such incentive was provided to Villa Group. In the past 6 years Fly Me has served 1.5 million passengers. At the moment they have flights to three destinations. However, they plan to provide services to new sectors. When Fly Me started operating it significantly reduced the cost of domestic travels. Previously it was unimaginable to travel for 999 Rufiyaa to Addu from Male’.
