Education Minister Dr.Aishath Shiham have stated that students the driving force of the nation are educated with the hard work of teachers.
She made this statement in a message publicized on the occasion of teacher’s day. The minister said that, no matter how many times a teacher is thanked, they can never be fully thanked. She said that the purpose of celebrating a day for teachers is to value and acknowledge the hard work done by the teachers.
Dr.Shihaam said that policies of the government such as inclusive education models are executed perfectly with the hard work of the teachers.
The education minister thanked the teachers for their work in building a civilized society. In Maldives 5th October is celebrated as Teacher’s Day.
