Contracts have been signed for the sewerage labour works of 9 islands.
In a ceremony held at SHE building, contracts for F.Fiali, Adh.Hannaameedhoo, Adh.Omadhoo, K.Kaashidhoo, L.Maavashu and R.Maakuratha were awarded to Puritius Private Limited.
The total cost of the project is 73,951,042.46 Rufiyaa. Environment Minister Thoriq Ibrahim signed the agreement on behalf of the ministry while MD of Puritius Private Limited Rajitha Kariyavasane signed on behalf of the company.
In addition, sewerage labour works of R.Rasmaadhoo, Ha.Utheemu, and N.Landhoo was awarded to Saase Construction Private Limited. The cost of this project is 30,916,119.57 Rufiyaa. Environment Minister Thoriq signed the agreement on behalf of the ministry while MD of Saase Construction Saudullah Ahmed signed the agreement on behalf of the company.
These projects are funded from the state budget and the projects should be completed within a year.
